JOB SUMMARY:

As a Pioneer for the Population Health Software Industry, we are looking for full time ETL Engineer that will help us always stay 18 months ahead of the Industry. They will be working in an agile environment, supporting a highly scalable SAAS web application, and related back-end services with a focus on security and reliability. The ETL Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing business intelligence (BI) and ETL (extract, transform, load) applications and packages, modifying jobs and ETL processes for a next generation enterprise data warehouse ecosystem using Microsoft SQL Server, Azure technologies and Snowflake data warehouse.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Analyze healthcare data sources and structures to determine effective methods for extraction.

Design and implement robust ETL processes tailored to healthcare data, ensuring secure and efficient data movement within our platform.

Utilize ETL tools and programming languages to create scalable data pipelines.

Troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Optimize ETL processes for performance, scalability, and reliability

Monitor and fine-tune data pipelines to support timely and efficient processing of healthcare information.

Work closely with healthcare domain experts and stakeholders to understand unique data requirements for our platform.

QUALIFYING JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Required skills:

Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as an ETL Engineer or equivalent experience performing SQL development.

Experience with SQL Server and database design

Strong SQL skills and experience working with healthcare-related databases.

Experience with Azure Data Factory

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

Desired:

Experience with SQL Server database in cloud based environments.

Proven experience as an ETL Engineer, preferably in the healthcare industry.

Proficiency in ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, SQL Server Integration Services

Knowledge of data warehouses and analytics platforms such as Snowflake or Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics.

Programming skills in languages like C# or PowerShell

Familiarity with cloud-based ETL solutions

Working knowledge of Index tuning and query optimization

Familiarity with healthcare data standards and regulations.

Understanding of healthcare data governance and security best practices.

Certification in relevant ETL technologies.

EDUCATION &/OR RELATED EXPERIENCE:

College/University degree in Computer Science/related discipline or 3-5 years’ related experience
