Summary/Objective:

General Warehouse employees perform an array of functions in support of day-to-day operations that include receiving, inventory, picking, filling, packaging, shipping, organizing the warehouse inventory and other duties to support the company’s productivity. Delivery Drivers perform an array of functions in support of the day-to-day warehouse operations that may include, picking up and processing incoming inventory, delivering to customers location, picking up incoming inventory from vendors, routing their load, loading their truck, and unloading their truck.

Essential Functions General Warehouse:

Sorting, picking, stocking, staging, orders for transportation of goods.

Load and unload materials to and from designated storage area, such as racks, shelves, stack, or pile materials, such as lumber, boards, pallets, or trucks.

Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.

Verify physical count of stock.

Maintain conditions of the work area (i.e. free of trash, product in correct location, etc.).

Follow company safety policies and procedures and encourage other associates to do the same.

Pull orders and verify correct quantities on orders.

Operate forklifts or other machinery to complete tasks.

Safely Unload Trucks utilizing pallet jacks or forklifts.

Compare packing lists to company purchase orders and ensure the products in each delivery match the packing list.

Ensure no damage to items sent or delivered. If damaged items are delivered, notify the vendor via email.

Update the product inventory as products are received.

Accurately count, bag and tag inventory.

Assist in finding any back orders that come in daily.

Complete closing checklist before leaving daily.

Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, safety and shipping requirements.

Other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions Delivery Driver:

Pick up vendor orders; thoroughly check the order to ensure the physical count matches the PO count and check for obvious damage.

Complete the delivery by submitting goods and paperwork to Warehouse Supervisor for Receiving process completion.

Completes deliveries by safely loading (per approved procedure) inventory on trucks and safely driving to and from vendor and customer locations.

Completes Driver Log (on approved form) daily and reviews log with Supervisor at the end of the day.

Maintains trucks by completing preventative maintenance requirements, reporting safety and performance issues.

Maintains quality customer service by following Tool Country policies and procedures.

Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping truck clean (inside and out) and stocked with the necessities to do their job.

Protects Company by keeping information confidential.

Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment:

Sitting, standing, and walking intermittently throughout the day; may stand for long periods.

May occasionally use office equipment such as computer, mouse, keyboard, printer.

Frequent exposure to warehouse operations with noise levels that may vary and include large trucks, forklifts, groups of construction workers, etc.

Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear.

Use specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Ability to regularly lift up to 50-75 pounds.

Maintain a professional demeanor and respond with urgency.

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent required.

Prior experience working in a warehouse environment strongly preferred.

Forklift experience and certification preferred.

Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language fluently, and communicate verbally and in writing at a professional level.

Expected Hours of Work:

This role is considered full-time working approximately 40 hours per week and is eligible for overtime. This position is expected to work an 8-hour shift Monday through Friday, between the hours of 6:00am and 5:30pm. Occasional Saturday shifts may be required to fulfill inventory obligations. Travel within the geographic region will be required.
