Property Maintenance Technician

Location: Charlottesville, Virginia

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Maintenance Technician to join our team and take charge of maintaining properties to the highest standards. If you have a keen eye for detail and enjoy working with your hands on many different types of building projects, this opportunity is perfect for you! We are seeking skilled commercial handymen and maintenance technicians.

Responsibilities:

Perform preventive maintenance on buildings systems, including plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Respond promptly and efficiently to diagnose reported issues and make repairs, utilizing technical knowledge and expertise.

Repair and replace faulty components, ensuring all work is completed to code and safety standards.

Regularly inspect and maintain building exteriors, such as roofs, windows, doors, and façades.

Monitor and document maintenance activities, keeping accurate records of work performed and parts used.

Conduct routine inspections and assessments of buildings, identifying maintenance needs and potential issues.

Work with other maintenance team members and contractors to tackle complex projects and complete tasks on time.Skills Required:

Trade Skills equivalent to that of a commercial handyman

Skilled in using hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.

Solid knowledge of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance practices.

Ability to read and follow instruction manuals and search manufacturers websites for technical information.

Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset.

Excellent time management and organizational abilities to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Demonstrated commitment to safety.

Accurate and detailed communication skills.

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or vocational training in building maintenance are a plus.Benefits:
