Job Description

General Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required. Above all must be a team player with high level of dedication.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand/walk 10 to 90% of the work day; sit to perform normal office duties for 10 to 90% of the work day, occasional bending, squatting, ascending ladders/stairways, and occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities:

Properly maintains all parts and equipment pertaining to specific work duties.

Operates equipment used in welding operations including welding machine, weld rod, appropriate safety equipment, hand tools, and power tools.

Accurately reads prints as required.

Examines work pieces for defects and measures work pieces with straightedge or template to ensure conformance with specifications.

Dismantles metal assemblies or cut scrap metal, using thermal-cutting equipment such as flame-cutting torch or plasma-arc equipment.

Climbs ladders or works on scaffolding as required.

Reports any problems promptly to Supervisor.

Keeps work area clean by practicing good housekeeping procedures.

Performs any task, assignment, or project assigned by Supervisor or lead welder.Benefits
