Physician: Hospitalist (Nocturnist)

Sampson Regional Medical Center is seeking a qualified Family Medicine or Internal Med-Peds Physician for its hospitalist service; Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine or dual IM/Peds.

Highly competitive salary and hospital benefits; Relocation and tuition repayment offered. Signing bonus negotiable.

Fulltime nocturnist to work approximately 14 shifts a month

Visa candidates will not be considered at this time.

Responsibilities include:

Round on Adult and Pediatric patients (great mix for individual who wants inpatient work and ability to care for patients of all ages

Attend caesarian sections and round in the newborn nursery (NRP certification is required)

Admit patients from the ER, as well as directly from primary care offices

Run codes/round in the ICU

Work independently; on-call specialists available by phone

Procedures optional

Comfortable with ventilator

Meditech EMR

Nocturnist can expect to have 5 patient encounters per night & 3-4 Emergency Department admissions
