Scope:

As our lead in-house Photographer in our high volume and fast-paced photo studio, you will create beautiful imagery across a broad range of categories for all our brands, that will be used for e-com, social and retail channels. You should be driven to create visual content that makes it easy for our end customers to enjoy and experience our products. This role is two-fold. Primary day to day will be shooting simple lifestyle product images for our site and other online and instore uses. (Independently, without art direction, photo assistant, prop, or food stylists). Secondly, paired with prop and/or food stylist to execute lifestyle imagery for same channels. The successful candidate should be highly creative, energetic, ambitious, and driven to bring value to the Marketing Communications team. The role reports to the Director, Marketing Communications and is part of a talented team within the department.

Primary Job Responsibilities

Execute high volume photography across a wide range of kitchen categories for all six brands.

Maintain visual brand objectives and follow defined photo guidelines for executing photography assets.

Follow brand-specific style guides to ensure consistency of lighting, surfaces/backgrounds, and composition.

Ability to arrange, light, and photograph our products so it looks accurate, realistic and on brand.

Ability to style, both prop and food.

Ensure the product is accurately represented; adjust the shot list and lighting as needed to capture additional details and the full look and feel of the product.

Work both collaboratively and proactively with on-site creative teams to understand specific brand art direction & aesthetic.

Re-touch images as needed.

Deliver files per defined guidelines to meet size specifications.

Ability to work independently - without Art Direction and/or Photo Assistant.

Partner with Marketing Communication Manager on the daily/weekly shot list & priorities to group similar type shots together to maximize efficiencies when applicable.

Ability to give as well as receive feedback and adapt accordingly.

Stay current with new creative tools and technology advancements in photography to improve production and workflow efficiencies while maintaining high volume production.

Experienced professional who stays current with photography trends, lighting, technical advances, and changing creative tastes.

Have strong visual skills with attention to detail and an eye for consistency.

You must be a team player, strong communicator and have a positive and enthusiastic attitude.

Proficient with Mac OS, Photoshop and Capture One.

Exceptional organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize workload, and concurrently manage multiple projects.

Embraces change and continues to deliver expected results.

Recommends best practices and utilizes industry knowledge to improve products, processes, and services.

Deep understanding of digital photo technology and how to improve internal processes and customer experience.

Mastery with all studio equipment & tools, lighting, technical software, and systems

Be self-motivated, takes direction as well as able to work independently.

Be flexible, resourceful, proactive, and energetic.

Qualifications:

7+ years’ experience shooting product, lifestyle and food.

Formal photography schooling with bachelor’s degree is preferable or equivalent experience required.

A digital portfolio of original work is required.

Strong technical understanding of strobe & continuous lighting.

Working knowledge with all aspects of digital image quality and output: file size, light and color balancing, Adobe Creative Suite.

Knowledge of CaptureOne.

Proficient with Canon camera system.

Compensation Range: $70,000.00 - 85,000.00 per year contingent upon experience.
