Construction Superintendent

Job Description

Salary: Negotiable based on experience.

The Superintendent is responsible for managing and coordinating on site labor ensuring that construction is performed safely, to plans/specifications, and executed with the highest quality.

Job Expectations:

Generate a four-week schedule and ensure subcontractors, consultants, and vendors follow its critical path.

Supervise subcontractor work to make sure work performed is high quality and meets plans and specifications.

Coordinate required building inspections with local jurisdictions.

Maintain daily log of activities, equipment uses, manpower, and safety on the jobsite.

Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work

Ensures all warranty issues are identified, documented, and resolved in a timely manner.

Coordinates with the project manager to prepare and present job status reports monthly to the principle in charge.

Assist with project close-out including certificate of occupancies, punch list management

Markets the company to the owner and architectural team; engages the business development department in pursuing future opportunities.

Keep the jobsite, job trailer, and documentation clean and organized.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, memos, contract documents and specifications, and CPM schedules.

Ability to read and understand work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Extensive knowledge of established construction means and methods.

Advanced understanding of construction scheduling and cost control.

Ability to interact and communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and employees.

Thorough and attentive to details; extremely organized and able to prioritize and multitask.

Possess strong computer skills; proficient in the Microsoft Suite, Microsoft Project, and Procore.

Education/Experience:

Superintendent will have 10+ years of commercial construction projects

OSHA 30 recommended
