Zandras Taqueria is looking for experienced individuals to join our high-energy, dynamic, dedicated, and professional team! We are looking for a true leader to be our Restaurant Assistant Manager and grow with our company.

Summary of Position:

The Restaurant Assistant Manager, with the assistance of the Restaurant Lead Manager, manages the restaurant operation to ensure efficiency. Managers are responsible for the business performance of their restaurant, as well as maintaining high standards of food, service, and health and safety. Reports to the Restaurant Lead Manager and Executive Team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Coordinating the entire operation of the restaurant, with the guidance of the Restaurant Lead Manager.

Completing and sharing daily log reports to the Executive Management Team.

Ensuring that all employees adhere to the company's uniform standards, policies and procedures.

Understanding and implementing all company policies, procedures and standards.

Greeting customers and advising on menu and beverage choices.

Ensuring that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service.

As second-in-command to the Restaurant Lead Manager, assisting in running, training and motivating Front of the House, Back of the House and Managers.

Assisting the Restaurant Lead Manager with ordering, staff scheduling and purchasing for the restaurant.

Stepping in the necessary roles when employees are absent.

Responsible for the opening and closing check out processes.

Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

Must be able to work at both the Manassas and Haymarket locations depending on restaurant schedule.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office to include Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Must be technically savvy with a minimum of 1 year of experience with restaurant POS systems, computers, and online delivery and carry out apps.

Minimum of 1 year of full-service restaurant experience.

Ability to think quickly on your feet and be a problem solver.

Ability to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift 25 lbs. without assistance and 50 lbs. with assistance.

Ability to traverse all parts of the restaurant quickly.

Work in a hot and noisy environment.

Must have high integrity and solid work ethic.

Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.

Expected to work long hours during peak periods, evenings, and weekends.

Having or obtaining a food handlers and/or alcohol certification may be required.

Having reliable transportation to and from work.

Must have Front of the House experience

Must have Back of House experience.

Familiarity with food handling, safety and other restaurant guidelines.
