Director of Sales and Business Development - SaaS for Criminal Justice

Location: Multiple SouthEastern United States Cities

We are seeking a driven and experienced Director of Business Development to lead our sales efforts and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of exceeding sales targets in the SaaS industry, along with a passion for making a difference in the criminal justice sector. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to navigate complex issues to find solutions.

The mission is to revolutionize the criminal justice system with our innovative Software as a Service (SaaS) platform. Our product provides Judges, District Attorneys, and Sheriffs with a new level of electronic monitor data, offering an alternative to detention and improving participant outcomes. Our new Director of Business Development must embrace our commitment to leveraging technology to drive positive change and create a more equitable and effective justice system.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to achieve sales targets and expand market reach.

Identify and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers in the criminal justice sector, including Judges, District Attorneys, and Sheriffs.

Drive lead generation efforts through networking, prospecting, and participation in industry events and conferences.

Own the entire sales process from initial contact to contract signing, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for clients.

Utilize customer relationship software to track interactions, manage leads, and optimize sales performance.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development and customer success, to meet client needs and drive product improvements.

Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and mitigate risks.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

Minimum of 4 years of experience in business development or sales, with a focus on SaaS solutions.

Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas of $1.2 million or higher.

Strong understanding of customer relationship software (e.g., CRM) and a commitment to leveraging it effectively.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and solutions clearly and persuasively.

Ability to think critically and creatively to overcome challenges and find innovative solutions.

A proactive and results-driven attitude with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
