Summary

At the Unconventional Kitchen, every heavenly bite makes a difference. That’s because 100% of our proceeds are donated back to Vincentian, a nonprofit that has been serving Pittsburghers of all ages for the last 100 years.

We’re in need of a Catering Cook & Driver to join our growing team. The Catering Cook and Driver prepares, serves, and delivers food to various Vincentian locations and for external catering events and retail locations. This key member of our team helps create and bring our delicious food to our customers.

Full-time and part-time opportunities are available!

What You’ll Do at the Unconventional Kitchen

Working with our Chef and other staff members, you’ll assist with meal preparation, serve food according to our chef-designed menu, prepare the kitchen for daily food direction, and deliver catered goods to various locations. It’s important that you always act in compliance with federal and state sanitary regulations, as well as facility infection control guidelines and dietary policies. You’ll assist in in-service training sessions, maintain a clean and hazard-free work area, and participate in regular staff meetings.

Repurposing a convent to prepare delicious, locally sourced meals was just the beginning of the Unconventional Kitchen story. Serving those meals to all ages, putting every dollar back into a nonprofit mission, and continuing the cycle of reinvestment to the community...that's the heart of the Unconventional Kitchen.

About You

Our Catering Cook and Driver must meet the following requirements:

· High School graduate or equivalent preferred

· Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions, and perform simple mathematical calculations

· Commercial or institutional food service experience preferred

· Ability to work additional hours as needed

· A valid driver’s license is required for this position.
