Our client, a leading healthcare facility based in Kuwait, is currently looking for a Consultant – Emergency Medicine.

You will supervise the functioning of the Emergency Department (ED), from arrival to admission/discharge of patients, according to the objectives of the project, and in collaboration with the other hospital departments. You will be responsible for providing the best medical care to patients and will be involved in triage, patient flow, and implementation of protocols.

This position will suit a medical practitioner with dual qualifications in General Practice and Emergency Medicine. A high proportion of patients attending the Emergency Department are patients with primary care needs. You will be joining a premier hospital with a state-of-the-art emergency department that takes pride in maintaining its high quality and standards.

In this role, you will be responsible for the following and not limited to:

Provide comprehensive professional and ethical quality clinical services to patients in an effective and efficient manner.

Ensure that duties and functions are undertaken in a manner that minimizes delays for patients and possible disruption of services.

Ensure compliance with clinical governance and quality management standards

Assess and treat patients in the emergency department, regardless of their illness or injury type.

Maintain accurate medical records

Ensure excellence in medical practice is maintained by focusing on continuous professional development of self and others

Maintain integrity in professional services by executing clinical services in an ethical and responsible manner.

Requirements

The Ideal Candidate would have:

Minimum 5 years of clinical experience as ER Consultant

MD with American-Board/Saudi-Board-equivalent Certification required; Ideally has completed residency in focus area

Meet the criteria for licensing at consultant level with the Kuwait Healthcare guidelines.

Understand and meet the criteria and standards developed by the Joint Commission International and appropriate standards for a hospital facility.

Fluently able to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English or Arabic, as necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
