We are seeking a highly skilled Email Deliverability Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of email marketing best practices, ISP regulations, and anti-spam laws to ensure our clients' emails reach their intended recipients' inboxes. The Email Deliverability Specialist will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing email deliverability metrics to maximize inbox placement rates and improve overall email campaign performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement strategies to improve email deliverability rates and inbox placement
Monitor email deliverability metrics, including bounce rates, open rates, click-through rates, and spam complaints
Identify and troubleshoot deliverability issues, such as poor sender reputation, blacklisting, and email throttling
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, IT, and compliance to ensure email campaigns comply with industry regulations and best practices
Manage relationships with ISPs and email service providers to maintain positive sender reputations and resolve deliverability issues
Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to email deliverability
Conduct regular audits of email lists, segmentation, and targeting to optimize engagement and deliverability
Familiarity with SNDS, Google Postmaster, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in email marketing or deliverability management
In-depth knowledge of email deliverability best practices, including sender authentication protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), IP warming, and list hygiene
Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact, SendGrid) and deliverability monitoring tools (e.g., Return Path, 250ok)
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners
Detail-oriented with a passion for optimizing email campaigns for maximum deliverability and engagement
Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications and Certifications
Certification in email deliverability (e.g., Certified Deliverability Professional, Return Path Certification)
Experience with email automation and segmentation strategies
Knowledge of HTML/CSS for email template design and troubleshooting
Familiarity with email compliance regulations, such as CAN-SPAM and GDPR
