SMAW WELDER

Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts and determine the specific welding requirements

Weld small and large components such as copper plumbing, beams and pipelines

Use specialized machinery for industrial welding and oversee machines that perform the same job

Maintain and repair all machinery

Assess welded surfaces, structures and components to identify errors

Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks and safety shoes

Weld components in flat, vertical and overhead positions

Set up welding machine to create a right program based on the job at orbital using welding specification

Ensure work is done safely and meet standard specification

Follow, create and maintain welding procedure specification

Keep work areas clean and organized

Take proper care of all equipment and facilities

Follow all company rules and regulations, safety rules and quality standards

Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency

Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task

Minimize wastage of materials and consumables

Deals with engineers, inspectors and other employees professionally at all times

SKILLS

Able to perform all core competencies set by TESDA

With one year experience in metal welding (SMAW)/ (GTAW)

Able to perform all Basic competencies set by TESDA

Able to perform Common competencies set TESDA
