We are seeking a skilled and experienced Teradata Developer with expertise in User Defined Functions (UDFs), encryption functions, and stored procedures. As a Teradata Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing Teradata solutions to meet our organization's data processing and analytics needs. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Teradata database technology, particularly in the areas of UDFs, encryption functions, and stored procedures.

Responsibilities:

Teradata Development: Design, develop, and implement Teradata solutions, focusing on UDFs, encryption functions, and stored procedures.

UDFs (User Defined Functions): Create and optimize UDFs to extend the functionality of Teradata for custom data processing requirements.

Encryption Functions: Implement encryption functions to ensure the security and privacy of sensitive data within the Teradata environment.

Stored Procedures: Develop and optimize stored procedures to encapsulate complex business logic and enhance data processing efficiency.

Performance Tuning: Work on performance tuning and optimization of Teradata queries, UDFs, and stored procedures for improved system responsiveness.

Data Integration: Collaborate with other teams to integrate Teradata solutions with various data sources and applications.

Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for developed UDFs, encryption functions, and stored procedures.

Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve issues related to Teradata database performance, UDFs, encryption functions, and stored procedures.

Security Compliance: Ensure that developed solutions adhere to security and compliance standards, especially in the context of data encryption.

Collaboration: Work closely with data architects, data engineers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver effective solutions.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Experience: Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in Teradata development, with a focus on UDFs, encryption functions, and stored procedures.

Technical Skills:

Proficient in Teradata SQL and scripting.

Strong experience with the development of UDFs, encryption functions, and stored procedures.

Familiarity with Teradata utilities and tools.

Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.

Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to the success of the overall project.
