Role: Accounting Specialist

Location: Rockville, MD

Employment Type: Contract to hire

Pay Rate: $20 - $25 / hour

Hours: Full time (Over Time Eligible)

Our client has an immediate need for a Bookkeeper to join their team on a contract to hire basis. This candidate will support the Accounting department and must have the ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally. Job Responsibilities:

· 1-3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience

· Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, strong understanding of Debits and Credits, and journal entries

· Maintains vendor accounts to ensure accuracy

· Assists with month/quarter-end close, audits, and tax preparation

· Proficiency with Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS) & ERP systems (Great Plains OR PN3 would be a plus!)

Requirements:

· 1-3+ years of accounting experience

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred

· Strong knowledge of GAAP

· Excel
