Our client is looking for a Senior Claims Specialist to join their team. Your expertise and ability to identify, analyze and solve problems would be necessary as you manage complex worker’s compensation claims. You will also need to have a strong interpersonal, time management and organizational skills when you collaborate with case managers and attorneys; manage subrogation and negotiate settlements.

Responsibilities - what will you be doing:

Accept claim, confirm policy coverage and acceptance of the claim

Determine validity and compensability of the claim

Develop and manage action plans to reduce overall cost of the claim

Establish reserves and authorize payments

Organize early return-to-work efforts with the appropriate parties

Additional projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or combination of education plus related experience.

3+ years’ industry experience and claim handling

Exposure to entire claim administration, case management and cost containment solution as applicable to workers’ compensation.

State Certification as an experienced Examiner

Self-Insured Certificate is preferred
