Job Description

As a Hazardous Waste and Rework Supervisor, you will manage the Little Rock Plant and Distribution Center Hazardous Waste program. This will include monitoring hazardous waste inventory levels, coordinating the movement and disposal of hazardous materials, and ensuring strict compliance with environmental regulations and company policies. Additionally, you will manage the Plants rework products, partnering with Operations and Supply Chain teams to schedule rework and following product demand. You will report to the Production Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with appropriate vendors to develop new waste profiles, renew existing profiles, and validate corresponding disposal procedures.

Responsible for end-to-end management of waste manifests including accurate completion of waste manifests, physical application of manifests to waste drums, filing, tracking and maintaining of manifests physically and in excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) workbooks, verification of returned manifests, and partnership with vendor to address manifest discrepancies.

Complete and document inspections of 90-day Hazardous Waste storage areas and satellite accumulation areas, correcting issues to ensure areas remain compliant with company standard, and responsible for partnering with Operations to coordinate movement of waste.

Complete waste inventory audits, segregating waste drums by vendor, communicating inventory levels to the plant EHS leaders and appropriate waste vendors, ensuring waste trailers are loaded, and monitoring/tracking shipments.

Coordinate disposal of hazardous waste and materials, including scrapped batches, packaging materials, contaminated storm-water, labeling of drums according to the waste profile, and loading of waste trailers for shipment.

Monitor current rework inventory and incoming rework, partnering with Operations and Supply Chain to identify rework opportunities in weekly production schedules.

Track and updates appropriate tracking tools according to rework status, including in-process work, and subsequent movements of the product back into Production.

Department of Transportation (DOT) and RCRA Training to be required upon agreement of employment.

Qualifications

Highschool diploma or equivalent.

1+ years experience working with Hazardous Waste and managing a Hazardous Waste program.

Previous experience working with Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) including stand-up and sit-down forklifts.

Attention to detail is imperative.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word applications.
