National Independent Sales Manager

This job can be a remote-based position but will require routine visits to the PBK Corp. office in Lancaster, PA.

Primary Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee the national independent sales channel for Primitives By Kathy, with a primary focus on maximizing sales performance and market share within this segment.

Serve as the primary liaison between Primitives By Kathy and the external sales rep agency, fostering strong relationships and collaboration to develop and execute strategic sales plans.

Collaborate with the sales rep agency to develop and implement strategic sales plans tailored to the independent sales channel, ensuring alignment with company objectives and priorities.

Assist in the creation and delivery of comprehensive sales training programs for the outside sales rep (OSR) group, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively represent Primitives By Kathy's products and drive sales growth.

Deliver data and analytics to the OSR agency, offering insights and recommendations to optimize sales activities and enhance performance.

Conduct weekly meetings with the OSR agency to review sales performance, discuss challenges and opportunities, and reinforce accountability towards sales goals.

Utilize sales data and analytics to track key performance indicators (KPIs), monitor progress, and make data-driven decisions to drive continuous improvement.

Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and product development, to ensure alignment of sales strategies with overall business objectives and initiatives.

Oversee the internal customer service team, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and timely resolution of inquiries and issues.

Manage and oversee the local wholesale showroom and coordinate with the marketing department to ensure it reflects the brand's image and effectively showcases products to wholesale customers to maximize sales.

Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.

Represent Primitives By Kathy at industry events, trade shows, and conferences, actively networking with key stakeholders and showcasing the company's products and brand proposition.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Primary Skills and Competencies:

Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, helpfulness, and passion for customer care.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including phone and internet etiquette.

Ability to manage time, prioritize, and shift quickly among various responsibilities.

A willingness to work independently while keeping the greater good of the team a priority.

Accuracy, thoroughness, attention to detail.

Excellent team player and contributor.

Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels.

Proven sales track record in a new product/new market environment.

Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results-driven, team-oriented environment.

Education & Experience

BS/BA in Business Administration or Marketing plus ten years in Sales, five of which in a senior level sales position.

A proven track record in sales in the gift/home décor industry or a related industry.

Experience managing others, coaching, and establishing sales goals and metrics.
