Field Mechanic

Morgan Asphalt is a family owned company and we are looking for an experienced equipment mechanic to join our team.

Job Description

Plan, organize, and coordinate the scope of work you are responsible for

Poses & Acquire an in-depth understanding of heavy equipment capabilities & Operating Procedures

Determine Equipment condition by inspections, & diagnostic testing

Maintain vehicle appearance and repairing damaged parts

Maintain vehicle records

Trouble shoot any issues any equipment is having

Keep the shop clean and organized

Enforce Adherence to all health and Safety Standards

Have a vested interest in the company’s success and strive to better everyone and everything

Be on time always and ask what more can I help with

Skills & Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)

3+ years experience as an equipment mechanic (Required)

Ability to lift 50 lbs. (Required)

Ability to bend, stoop, stand and walk for extended periods of time (Required)

Experience

Heavy Equipment Mechanic: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification

Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR. (Required)

DOT Medical Card (Preferred)

Ability to commute/relocate

Magna, UT 84044: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Electrical Troubleshooting Skills

Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills

Hydraulics Experience

Machine Safety Inspections

Shop Math Skills

Salary info:

$35 - $45 / hr
