Process Engineer - Plastic Extrusion

Pay: $80k - $95k

Philadelphia, PA

Responsibilities

Design tooling and develop processes for mono and co-extrusion plastic profiles, tubes and secondary fabrication.

Lead new tooling development processes to meet customer expectation with quality and on time delivery of material samples.

Coordinate needs for new products with Die Development, Technicians, Production Manager and other involved in producing first article samples.

Work on continuous improvement projects for efficiencies & reduce scrap.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering or similar (preferred).

Three (3) - Five (5) years of plastic extrusion, die design and process development.

EDM machining knowledge and single screw extrusion experience (preferred).

Proficient usage of SolidWorks, AutoCAD and CAD/CAM software.

Familiarity with polycarbonate, acrylic, nylon, polyurethane, polystyrene, polyethylene, elastomeric materials, PVC, etc.
