Field Medical Assistant

Position Summary: Eventus WholeHealth delivers an integrated model that provides holistic care for medically vulnerable adults achieving extraordinary outcomes for the people we serve. This care is provided to adults who reside in skilled nursing, assisted living facilities and private residences through a network of healthcare providers including Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Psychologists, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Clinical and Administrative Support Staff.

We're seeking talented Medical Assistant to support our providers in assisted and skilled nursing facilities in the Lawrenceburg, IN area.

Hours: Mon-Fri - 8 hour dayshift (flexible)

* Mileage reimbursement plan is offered.

Provider Support

Ensure that the clinical provider in the assigned building is able to focus on taking care of their patients for the day

Ensure that each patient is seen as medically necessary per clinical protocol.

Round with Physician on all patients and assist with scribe dictation

Reviewing the facility acute books each morning, assist with any day-of changes to the scheduled visits due to acute needs, hospitalizations, admissions, or discharges

Prepare clinical documentation and note prep for the Physician

Post clinicians daily patient schedule by 5pm, the day prior to patients being seen.

Perform medication reconciliation on all scheduled patient encounters

Upload lab results and facility chart data on all scheduled patients each day into provider notes

Facility Support

Checking and triaging facility acute books each morning and adjust provider schedule as needed

Be first line for any triage needs that can be communicated to the appropriate provider

Ensure that all needed paperwork for the facility is routed to Eventus provider or appropriate office staff

Share patient schedules with key facility staff as needed

Assist with triage documentation and consents for any services needed

Assist with discharge planning of clinical services as needed

Ensuring check in and out each day with facility staff regarding patients seen, status, etc.

Patient Support

Inform patient and family of recent visits, new orders and defer to provider when needed

Communicate medication changes made that day, when requested by the provider.

General updates to family as requested.

Reviewing medication list with family to clarify/confirm accuracy.

Qualifications/Education:

High School Diploma or equivalency

Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Expected to travel up to 1 hour from home address

Certified Medical Assistant degree a plus

Typing speed of 45wpm or greater

Medical Scribing experience preferred
