Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician will perform a variety of general maintenance duties which include electrical, mechanical, carpentry, construction in maintenance and repair of equipment for the production floor, warehouse and office area.

Major Responsibilities

Inspect building, electrical systems, grounds and equipment to ensure safe well-maintained conditions, identify hazards, defects and the need to test, adjust, repair, troubleshoot or by consulting with supervisor for best course of action.

Operate a variety of machinery, equipment and tools including saws, router, drills, sanders, planers, drill presses and various hand tools.

Basic ability to read, interpret and work from blueprints, drawings or oral instructions on a variety of structures related to various projects.

Assist with installing, set-up, operating, building, moving, loading, unloading and storing supplies, furniture and equipment in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Prepare, maintain and complete in a timely manner maintenance work orders, preventative maintenance (PM), Inventory tools report.

Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies and procedures for health, safety and environmental compliance.

Performs mechanic skills including but not limited to HVAC, mechanical, electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Compliance with company policies and procedures for the Food Defense Program and the GMP and Glass programs.

Preferred Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED

3-5 years of Experience in related field

Food Manufacturing Experience Preferred
