JOB TITLE: Senior Technical Professional Leader

REPORTS TO: Director - Engineering

JOB LOCATION: Chennai, India

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Well experienced in the Design & Consultancy field of Petroleum Refining, Oil & Gas (onshore/Offshore), Power and Petrochemicals industry. Experience in Renewable energy is desirable.

Review, Analyze and check the reliability of electrical design by using software tool (ETAP), data base and document preparation by using AVEVA Electrical, SPEL etc.

Co-ordinating with other disciplines for design-related activities like furnishing and obtaining necessary inputs required for a particular project and attending internal meetings, holding meetings with the vendors & clients and making site visits if required.

Preparation of Pre-Bid Engineering, Post bid activities which include Technical Bid evaluation, review, Cost control etc.

Technical expertise shall be in the below areas;

Preparation of Single Line diagram/Protection SLD's

Knowledge in Power system studies using ETAP/related software

Expertise in Load flow analysis, short circuit and Relay setting

Experience in Transient and Arc flash analysis.

HVDC and system voltage Design 400 KV and above

Expert in Power plant and modular substation design

Overhead line Design

Cathodic protection

Experience in Hazardous area classifications.

Conversant with IS, IEC, IEEE, NEC, CEC, API codes and standards.

Familiarity with ETAP, Smart Plant Electrical (SPEL), Dia lux, Trace Calc Pro, MS Office. Should be able to guide the team in Projects as required.

Guide team in Concept/FEED/Detail engineering jobs and proposals.

Should be hands on in work hour estimation with metrics.

Wind power and Solar energy experience is an added advantage.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with an experience of 20 to 25 years.

Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence.

Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving innovation and continuous improvement.
