Position Summary:

The Crew Foreman is an hourly position that reports to their Field Operations Manager. The expectation is that the Foreman is responsible for safe and efficient operation of his crew and equipment needed to perform multiple duties. Must be able to run a crew with assigned job sites in addition to various labor activities around job site as required.

Essential Functions:

Approaches others in a tactful manner; Reacts well under pressure; Treats other with respect and considerations regardless of their position; Accepts responsibility for own actions; Follows through on commitments.

Be always available to crews, customers and team members for clarification of job details. Make recommendations/advise the Customer, Project Manager and Operations Manager of information pertinent to job status, changes, problems or potential problems and work progress.

Assist with equipment and materials being set up at job sites and assist on-site as needed.

Manage job material supply/delivery to sites, reduce waste on jobs, and procure occasional supplies.

Manage and turn in paperwork in a timely manner.

Ability to read and follow blueprints in addition to using

Change Orders & Extra Work Orders: Document and track change orders and communicate changes with the Customer, Project Manager and Operations Manager.

Schedule & coordinate work schedules with Project Manager and Operations Manager.

Assure safety of crew at all times and adhere to the U.S. Occupational Safety Health Administration’s (OSHA) construction regulations (i.e. mandatory use of trench boxes). Follow safety procedures to ensure safety of self and crew at all times. Personal and crew use of personal protective equipment (PPE) (i.e. hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection, high visibility vest, proper footwear and gloves) and proper attire per task assigned.

Educate and promote those who work for you. Be aware of each employee’s ability to become what is needed. Empower your crews with proper training and project preparation to allow them to work efficiently and independently.

Coordinate schedules, issues, etc. with the Customer, Project Manager, Operations Manager and leadership/members of In-Depth Excavation.

Plan each day’s jobs and resources the day before and communicate plan effectively to crew(s), Customer, Project Manager, Operations Manager and leadership/members of In-Depth Excavation. Scheduling to include labor assignments, and coordination with builder and layout. Stay on top of the schedule and adjust accordingly as early as possible. Be flexible and roll with changes as required.

Maintain a respectful, positive and empowering attitude.

You will have the opportunity to solve problems on a daily basis, technical, crew, logistical, customer and many others. Plan to the best of your ability and anticipate problems before they arise.

You will be an integral part of this team and while demolition is our primary focus, there will be other projects such as dryer vent cleaning, commercial range hood cleanings, power washing, etc.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 Years of Verifiable Experience as an crew foreman.

Effectively execute the skills of a Crew Foreman.

Ability to read and interpret documents and plans including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Complete projects in a thorough manner.

Ability to use apps such as Timesheet programs.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Experience with demolition sales

Must have the ability to speak fluent English.

Bilingual in Spanish is a huge preference.

Valid Driver's License.

Lift or move up to 75 lbs.
