What you'll do:
Provide spiritual leadership, guidance, and pastoral care to young adults and students (typically ages 18-26) at Lakepointe Church
Work with Lead Pastor of School of Ministry (SOM) to evaluate and devise strategies to train, prepare, and release young adults into meaningful ministry
Supervise College Pastor
Provide leadership to execute Residency strategy
Play a key role in recruitment, placement, and curriculum for the SOM Residency Program
Lead instructor for Lakepointe School of Ministry
Play a key role in curriculum partnerships and course credits for SOM students
Develop and own strategy to recruit seasoned leaders (50+ aged couples) to lead young adult small groups
Actively engage in and contribute to monthly worship sessions during All Staff
Oversee quarterly young adult gatherings and summer Bible study
Assist the Senior Pastor, as needed, in addressing cultural issues from a Biblical perspective. This can include sermon prep, social media, etc.
Potentially preach selected Lakepointe student camps and/or weekend services
Skills & Experience you’ve had:
A Bachelor's degree in theology, ministry, or a related field is preferred
Previous experience in pastoral or ministry roles, with a focus on working with young adults
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to connect with and relate to young adults
Deep understanding of young adult culture, challenges, and spiritual needs
Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills
High-level networking and relationship skills
