Position Details

Reporting to the OSP Construction Manager, the OSP Construction Supervisor plays a vital role in OSP’s leadership team, facilitating and governing field construction of a OSP Fiber Network. The OSP Construction Supervisor will specifically direct and support the work of our aerial and splicing construction crews.

Responsibilities:

Maintain a safe environment and ensure all safety standards are met.

Must take leadership role in establishing safety culture.

Responsible for the overall construction schedule, including the scheduling and management of construction inspections and internal inspectors.

Responsible for construction quality, inspection, and true up of quantities.

Representing Tilson on site walks or closeout activities with customers and permitting authorities.

Must be able to identify issues that will cause delays and apply innovative solutions.

Strong attention to quality construction practices and ensuring timely close out and delivery of the project schedule.

Qualifications:

Must have strong knowledge in OSP construction techniques and practices (underground and aerial placement).

Must have strong knowledge of industry standard fiber splicing techniques and practices.

Two years of direct experience directing and managing OSP construction and inspection crews.

Willingness to learn new skills, software, and technologies.

Excellent verbal and written communication.

Excellent organizational skills.

Proficiency in MS Office Products, and Google Earth.

OSHA 10 or higher required, or successfully complete within 90 days of hire

Valid driver’s license.

Travel Expectations: Travel in or outside the region minimal at 10%

Must be at least 21 years of age to meet Tilson’s driving eligibility requirements.

Tilson leads with integrity around pay transparency; as part of the compensation plan for this position you can expect a pay range of:

$50,000.00 - $75,000.00
