Job Details

We are a thriving nonprofit research institute with a 50-year history of success. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Staff Accountant to join our finance team.

Responsibilities:

Process payroll within ADP WFN, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.

Adhere to relevant tax and labor laws during payroll processing.

Regularly reconcile payroll and bank statements with internal records to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.

Invoice customers and follow up on outstanding payments.

Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with accounting principles and financial regulations.

Collaborate with the finance team to streamline accounting procedures and processes.

Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.

Work closely with auditors during financial and operational audits.

Maintain confidentiality of financial information and investment decisions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.

Proficiency in ADP WFN or similar payroll processing software.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.

Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.

Ability to reconcile bank statements and manage invoicing effectively.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify discrepancies in financial data.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Experience in a nonprofit organization is a plus.
