IT Project Manager Digital Technologies Supply Chain EDI

My name is Bill Stevens and I have a new twelve month plus IT Project Manager opportunity available for a major firm located in Saint Charles, Missouri that could be of interest to you, please review my specification below. The work schedule will be a hybrid one, three days a week in the office and two days remote. The ideal candidate should possess experience with Supply Chain, Logistics or Digital technologies.

The ideal candidate should also possess a green card or be of citizenship. No Visa entanglements.

This position pays $55.00 per hour on a w-2 hourly basis.

Purpose of this role:

This role will manage projects and smaller bodies of work that are cross-functional between the firms Digital Technology and Supply Chain, Logistics, and Finance areas.

Responsibilities:

Working cross-functionally with business, technology, customer, and 3rd party vendor teams while delivering quality results

Oversees the build and delivery of the business application through the Development team and ensures successful handover to Support teams

Maintains a thorough understanding of the relevant business area to aid in the development of accurate and concise functional requirements

Applies technical and functional knowledge to manage teams that design solutions that are in line with technical architecture, database design and performance requirements

Analyses the business and systems impact of the solution and plans the detailed tasks required to achieve delivery of the fully tested solution.

Coordinates internal and 3rd party resources during development, implementation, and nurturing phases.

Manage team during the build and implementation phases, while carrying out activities to configure software packages and/or manage technical resources or vendors

Ensure solutions are quality and functionally tested, with supporting project documentation which meet functional and technical requirements.

Manages 3rd parties to ensure delivery per Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and recommends improved ways of working.

Utilizes the Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool for planning resources, project milestones, risks, and financials.

Engages Business Partnership Senior Managers & Managers, and business unit Directors and Senior Managers to ensure successful project deployment and benefits achievement.

Requirements for this role:

Strong communication skills both written and verbal

Process oriented and results driven

Understanding of highly integrated digital platforms

Knowledge in Supply Chain and Logistics Integrations (EDI, API)

Order Management System experience

Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery

Clear understanding of Agile Methodology

Experience SaaS platforms

Knowledge of Change Management Practices

High level of Stakeholder Management skills

Experience creating and managing project plans, document repositories, risk register, and other PM artifacts

Highly Desirable:

Experience working within a CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) company

Knowledge and experience in Supply Chain and Logistics standards and best practices

Experience working within the pet food and/or pet health care industry

Product management and life cycle experience preferred

Experience with projects including systems integration

Service provider and/or solutions consulting experience desired

Experience logging defects/tickets in a ticketing system such as JIRA

Experience working with Smartsheet is just a plus and NOT a requirement
