MESH Charities, located in Silver Spring, MD is a non-profit organization founded in 1902. We strive to provide humanitarian relief for eligible individuals and their families in the transition through the final phase of life. The individual we are seeking must display empathy and truly care about the mission we are delivering.

We are seeking an Administrative Manager with at least five (5) years of operations experience in a small office setting to join our team. This person must be comfortable introducing efficiencies, establishing office protocols and maintaining standards of excellence, while also exhibiting the servant leadership to jump in wherever needed.

The successful candidate is a self-starter who:

● Displays excellent judgment and discretion

● Demonstrates integrity with a strong work ethic

● Works collaboratively with colleagues or independently

● Liaisons with vendors and building management personnel

● Assists the Executive Director in assuring the smooth operation of the organization

The successful candidate possesses:

● Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills

● Excellent verbal communication skills, with a high level of emotional intelligence

● Excellent attention to details, organizational skills, and ability to autonomously solve problems and prioritize tasks

● Demonstrates proactive foresight towards anticipating team needs

● Proficiency in navigating through Microsoft Office 365

● CRM administration experience (DonorSnap preferred)

● Experience working with QuickBooks Online. (Requires working closely to provide documentation to the consultant that handles all aspects of the organization’s finances.)

● Previous management experience preferred

Daily activities include, but are not limited to:

● Manages day-to-day office operations and oversight, in support of Executive Director (ED)

● Updates & manages ED’s calendar, including proactive communication regarding expected schedule

● Updates & manages the general office calendar, including proactive communication with the team regarding expected schedule and / or changes

● Prepares for Board meetings (sets agenda with ED & communicates agenda in advance)

● Prepares for annual meeting (sets agenda with ED & communicates agenda in advance)

● Facilitates and schedules member services and assists with additional needs

● Maintains office equipment (ensures it’s in proper working order)

● Manages CRM

● Works with QBO consultant to ensure accurate quality assurance and documentation

● Jumps in to provide assistance wherever needed

This is an on-site, full-time position from 9am to 5pm, Monday – Friday.
