Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job Employee must be able to:

Safely operate motor vehicle in all weather conditions

Regularly enter and exit a motor vehicle

Provide supervision and assist clients with varying levels of disabilities to enter and exit the vehicle

Operate motor vehicle passenger and wheelchair restraints

Operate motor vehicle wheelchair life and/or ramp on accessible vehicles

Be able to lift up to 50 to 75 pounds

Work a variety of time frames, to include early mornings, afternoons (evenings, and rotational weekends as needed)

Prerequisites

HS Diploma or GED required

25 years of age or older - 5 years minimum driving experience.

Valid Ohio Driver's License

Cannot have more than 2 vehicle moving violations within the last 24 months

Cannot be on any medications that would prevent you from driving clients.

Suspension of driver's vehicle operator's license within 3 years.

Criminal, Sex Offender and Ohio Caregiver Background Check.

Certificate Training: CPR/First Aid Certification (training is provided).

Monday to Friday

Weekend availability (as needed)

6-month probationary period (No call-offs allowed within this period)

Salary: Starting at $17/hour based on experience

Phoenix Residential provides in-home care services to adults with developmental disabilities. The company helps to nurture their independence in their respective homes. Phoenix Residential also provides NMT services of driving individuals to their place of employment during the week.
