What You'll Do

Epic Games is looking for an Asset Implementer on our LEGO Fortnite LDD team. They need extensive knowledge of the Unreal engine, asset pipelines, performance metrics, and best practices to maintain bug-free assets and a positive player experience. Familiarity with common BP parent classes is essential. Knowledge of Lego Digital Designer and LEGO metrics, parts, and build techniques (SNOT, stud reversing, etc.) is a plus.

In this role, you will

Implement artwork from internal and external sources to game systems including Blueprint Asset content and systems setup (materials, grid snapping, architectural support, etc), Item Data setup (content hooks, not naming), for use in the game

Validate technical specification of content

Own the implementation step for assets making their way into the game by reviewing and implementing incoming work

Work cross-discipline and cross-team to constantly improve pipeline and tool support

Seek ways to improve and automate the implementation process to make it faster and less error-prone

Open communication to various disciplines regarding status and known issues with content

What we're looking for

Detail oriented, QA mindset for content

Knowledge of various 2D and 3D applications, and how it relates to real-time game art

Experience with UE5 and knowledge of UE5 blueprint system

A strong understanding of optimizations

Motivated to improve process and make pipeline improvements

LEGO Digital Designer Studio or equivalent knowledge is a plus

Knowledge of LEGO metrics, parts, and building techniques (SNOT, stud reversing, etc.) is also a plus

Coding knowledge (C++, python)
