We are seeking a quality-focused, experienced operator to serve as a CNC lathe operator.In this role, the individual will provide centering and fixing of the workpiece through the machine locking system and possibly using the fixed steady reat system.

**Duties and Responsibilities

**

Work from complex drawings, prototype sketches, electronic files and/or verbal instructions to facilitate the manufacturing of parts and assemblies by setting up, and operating manual and CNC mills and lathes, EDM and a variety of general machine shop equipment

Set up twin spindle, multi axis CNC lathes (actual machines are swiss style without guide bushing

Set up, adjust and operate CNC lathes

Set-up, adjusts, and operates CNC lathes to produce parts to print specifications

Set up, adjust and operate automatic and CNC lathes

Operate CNC lathes and horizontal or vertical mills

Machine parts and applications for a wide variety of materials and sizes using blueprint drawings, CAD models, and pre-written CNC programs on CNC and manual lathes, mills and other equipment

Responsible for production of high precision parts and performing complex setups required to produce the parts

Uses hand and power tools such as saws, sanders, arbor presses, lathes, mills, grinders, and uses necessary precision measuring instruments, fixtures and gages

Recognizing tool wear and replacing or changing worn tools

Must be able to complete machining operations including in-process inspection per routers, blueprints, drawings and/or verbal instructions

Manual Deburring, Drilling, and other duties as required

**Education And Experience Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
