Job Title: Senior Project Manager - Government Contracts
Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a minimum of 10 years of project management expertise, particularly in leading projects that have advanced to a program of record. The ideal candidate will possess a PMP Certification and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of project management principles and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage complex projects that transition into programs of record, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline constraints;
Utilize project management best practices to plan, execute, monitor, and control project activities, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and customer requirements;
Provide leadership and guidance to a diverse team of 60+ professionals, fostering collaboration, motivation, and high performance;
Oversee billing and invoicing processes for government contracts, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission;
Demonstrate expertise in cybersecurity practices, including CTI (Cyber Threat Intelligence), SOC (Security Operations Center) support, and RMF (Risk Management Framework), to ensure the security and integrity of project deliverables;
Facilitate Agile development methodologies to enhance project agility, responsiveness, and adaptability to changing requirements;
Collaborate with stakeholders, including customers and internal teams, to define project requirements, establish milestones, and communicate progress effectively;
Maintain a solid understanding of government security clearance requirements, with TS/SCI preferred and TS with SCI eligibility considered;
Continuously assess project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize potential impact on project objectives;
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes, tools, and methodologies.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of project management experience, with a proven track record of successfully leading projects to program status;
PMP Certification is required;
CISSP Certification is preferred, or a minimum of 15 years of project management experience, unless otherwise specified by the client;
Experience managing large teams of 60+ people in a dynamic environment;
Proficiency in billing and invoicing processes for government contracts;
Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including CTI, SOC support, and RMF;
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies;
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills;
Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances as required by the project;
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
