Department Profile

The Fixed Income Division is comprised of Interest Rate and Foreign Exchange Products, Credit Products, and Commodity Products and Distribution. Professionals in the Division assess and actively manages risk, trade securities, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets. The Commodities business is a market leader across a broad range of commodities markets, with expertise in areas including client risk management, financing solutions and investor products Sales & Trading.

Primary Responsibilities

The candidate will be part of the Business Control Unit (BCU) which is dedicated to support Asia Fixed Income businesses (including Japan). The candidate will work closely with other members in the Asia BCU team across various locations (Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, etc.) to manage client risk framework and is expected to lead tasks independently, including but not limited to the following:

· Ensure adherence to client selection and product suitability framework by BU for new client onboarding

· Work with Sales & Trading to understand the proposed client and business opportunity

· Independently review exceptions to policy and procedures

· Drive due diligence reviews for new clients to ensure all risks are reviewed and understood

· Lead the periodic KYC due diligence reviews for existing clients

· Conduct analysis to assist business heads with decision making – prioritization, maintain / offboard client relationship

· Liaise with global counterparts in 1st line and 2nd line to drive policy changes, framework enhancements and technology improvements

· Responsible for ensuring that all outstanding conditions have been met prior to final approval being granted for Client Selection

Skills required

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) for effective communication with various teams

· Good knowledge of Fixed Income products, including FX and Commodities

· Effective time management and organizational skills within a fast-paced environment Good understanding of franchise/reputational risk, i.e., identifying and analyzing regulatory, sanctions, and legal findings

· Good knowledge of entity types and corporate structures

· Highly organized, detail-oriented and thorough

· Strong decision-making, problem solving and analytical skills; ability to cope with pressure and multi-task

· Ability to plan, organize and deliver results within tight timeframes

· Ability to work collaboratively on group projects and independently on individual assignments

· Mature and professional; comfortable working in an open-floor working environment

· Willing and eager to learn and work with different teams and divisions of the Firm
