Natural Gas Distribution Engineer

RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a Natural Gas Distribution Engineer. This is a Full-Time, Direct Hire, Remote assignment with our client.

Overview of YOUR role as a Natural Gas Distribution Engineer:

The Natural Gas Distribution Engineer will be responsible for designing, planning, and managing the implementation of natural gas distribution systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering principles, gas distribution systems, and regulatory compliance.

As a Natural Gas Distribution Engineer YOU will:

Design and oversee the construction of natural gas distribution systems, including pipelines, valves, regulators, and associated infrastructure.

Perform engineering analysis, calculations, and simulations to ensure the safe and efficient operation of gas distribution networks.

Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Conduct field inspections and site visits to assess the condition of existing infrastructure and identify opportunities for improvement or expansion.

Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for construction projects and regulatory submissions.

Evaluate and recommend new technologies, materials, and methodologies to enhance the reliability and performance of gas distribution systems.

Provide technical support and guidance to operations and maintenance teams, including troubleshooting and problem-solving assistance.

Participate in project meetings, stakeholder consultations, and regulatory hearings as needed.

Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to natural gas distribution.

YOU are the ideal Natural Gas Distribution Engineer candidate if you have:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in natural gas distribution engineering or a similar role.

Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, GIS, and hydraulic modeling tools.

Strong understanding of gas distribution system design principles, codes, and standards (e.g., ASME, API, NFPA).

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Knowledge of environmental regulations, safety protocols, and permitting processes related to gas distribution projects.
