As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Technician Intern to join our dynamic team.

About the Role:

As an Electrical Technician Intern at iNet Africa, you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our diverse service offerings. Your expertise will ensure the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, install, maintain, and repair solar power systems and power backup solutions in residential and commercial settings.

Install, configure, and maintain CCTV systems, ensuring optimal operation and integration with other security and monitoring systems.

Work on the installation and maintenance of poles and masts for various infrastructure projects, including CCTV camera mounting and positioning.

Conduct detailed site surveys to plan the most effective installation strategies for equipment and wiring, especially for solar and power backup systems and CCTV networks.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to solar power, power backups, electrical systems, CCTV systems, and structural supports.

Collaborate closely with the engineering team to design and enhance solar and power backup systems, as well as security and surveillance solutions, ensuring they meet industry standards and local regulations.

Offer technical support and training to customers and team members on solar and power backup systems, as well as CCTV operation and maintenance.

Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for all projects, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.

Requirements

Requirements

Associate's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field, with specialized training in solar and power backup systems.

Minimum of 1 year proven experience as an electrical technician, with a focus on solar power and power backup installations, as well as experience working with poles, masts, and CCTV systems.

Deep understanding of electrical systems, solar technology, power backup solutions, structural supports, and CCTV systems.

Knowledgeable about electrical safety standards, building codes, and renewable energy regulations.

Proficiency in electrical diagnostic tools and equipment.

Exceptional problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in challenging outdoor environments.

Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to guide and support customers and colleagues.

Must be comfortable working at heights, with experience in safely climbing and working on poles, masts, and other elevated structures.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
