POSITION SUMMARY

The individual in this role is accountable for receiving and storing products delivered to the distribution center with accuracy and timeliness. They are responsible for properly unloading, verifying, sorting, and labeling the product within the distribution center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Verify items by matching the receiving tag, checking item number, quantity, and quality of goods received.

Utilize consolidation and replenishment forms to open locations, pick locations, and move products.

Deliver or route materials to respective departments using work devices such as forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers.

Move products to designated locations in the system using scan guns or computer systems.

Manage and maintain safe and efficient pallet storage in assigned areas.

Assist in receiving and unloading goods to the receiving dock or designated staging area.

Operate forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment in a professional and safe manner.

Ensure delivery of products to the appropriate locations while keeping pathways clear and unobstructed.

Participate in a collaborative work environment utilizing effective communication and willingness to cross train to enhance team productivity, versatility, and skill development.

Comply with comprehensive safety protocols and participate in ongoing training to ensure a secure work environment and maintain a safety-conscious culture.

Follow all 5S principles and guidelines daily to optimize workflow, efficiency, and a clean work environment.

Undertakes additional responsibilities and tasks as directed by management.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, & Skills required)

Preferred: High School Diploma or an equivalent qualification; 2 years’ experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience operating Material Handling Equipment - Forklift, Handtruck, Pallet Jack, Reach Truck.

Demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities.

Capable of following instructions and responding to management direction.

Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Exhibits experience working collaboratively in a team environment.

Has the ability to read and interpret various documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
