Scrap Burner/Metal Processor

Job Description

Position requires:

High school/GED preferred

Valid drivers license preferred

Duties as follows:

Operate cutting torch to cut pieces of scrap into specified sizing

Maintain clean torch cutting tip and replace cutting tip as required;

Complete daily paperwork including, but not limited to, a pre-shift safety inspection;

Perform dismantling, stacking, and scrap value sorting actions;

Perform basic maintenance actions and other general labor duties as required.

Ability to run or learn hydraulic shears for non ferrous/ferrous material

Bobcat and forklift experience preferred

Outdoor work required in all seasons

Ability to stand 8 hours

Required skills:

Full time M-F with Saturday hours

Able to stand for 8 hour shift

Must be able to work in varying natural elements

Able to lift up to 40lbs

Results orientated/Strong work ethic

Reliability, enthusiasm, teamwork

Well-developed interpersonal skills – ability to get along with diverse personalities

Job Type:

Full time

$15.00-$19.00 per hour
