Purpose of the Position:

The Project Manager has complete understanding and responsibility for the scope of work, schedule, cost, resources, quality, and deliverables and be able to communicate requirements to appropriate operational team(s).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Act as the Subject Matter Expert on the assigned OSP projects.

Create a project schedule from given project parameters.

Ensure the project schedule is in line with the financial plan.

Review and create invoices for all billable items.

Partner with the Design Manager to create a staffing plan that is within budget.

Hold project scoping meetings to identify point of contacts for permitting, engineering, and construction.

Manager Sub-contractors invoicing.

Report project progress internally and externally.

Attend all client meetings and provide updates.

Develop, monitor, and measure quality and production metrics.

Indirectly lead teams of engineers and designers to achieve project milestones.

Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies Required

Full turnkey fiber installation management experience preferred.

Understands permit processes, locates and working with municipal agencies and utilities.

Experience in contract management, change orders, and unit price schedules

Effective communicator, written and oral with ability to present to management.

Excellent leadership and management skills.

Developed financial knowledge, ability to define/track project financials such as project budget, forecasting, invoicing.

Strong organizational skills and scheduling abilities detailed oriented.

Commitment to excellence and high standards.

Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams.

Outstanding work ethic.

Desire to succeed and learn new skills.

Computer Equipment and Software Requirements

Professional level experience using Microsoft office suite & Outlook.

Proficient in the use of Adobe Acrobat (pdf files), digital photographs (jpeg files).

Familiar with databases and the process of uploading and downloading of data

Education and Experience Required

Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university preferred

Minimum 3 years related OSP experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
