Packaging Plant Electrician PLC

Job Description

We are currently seeking an Electrician to join our afternoon team! You will strive to provide safe electrical systems for a variety of customers in our packaging plant.

Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and solve problems in packaging facility

Install, repair, and maintain electrical components of packaging equipment.

Install and repair electrical equipment and fixtures

Troubleshoot motor and control systems

Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems

Observe safety procedures and meet electrical codes

Make decisions based on technical documents

Perform quality testing and inspections

Work as a team member or alone to complete projects

Qualifications:

Previous experience in electrical engineering or other related fields

Previous experience in a manufacturing facility

Knowledge of PLC (Allen Bradley, Festo, CLICK) and VFDs

Pneumatic Controls

Ladder logic and wiring diagrams

Familiarity with AC/DC motors

Familiarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals

Familiarity with electrical equipment and hand tools

Previous experience with forklift, man lifts, and other material handling equipment

Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

Basic computer skills such as Outlook, Word, and ExcelCompany Description
