Capp Electric is seeking experienced Commercial Electrical General Foreman to coordinate operations and oversee progress of installations, alterations, additions, and/or repair of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment on any type of project. This position serves as the point of reference for both employees and supervisors and will be a key person in the completion of a project.

A General Foreman has a solid background in the electrical field, with proven leadership skills and experience that has developed the ability to direct the work of others and make informed decisions. Candidates must be detail oriented, organized and value safety above everything else.

General Requirements:

Proven experience as a General Foreman.

Excellent organizational, problem solving and leadership skills.

Hold a current Texas TDLR Journeyman or Master’s Electrical License.

Requires basic mechanical aptitude, mathematical and English language skills.

Advanced understanding of basic electrical theory and its application to installations.

Ability to work overtime as required.

Posses effective communication and reporting skills.

Proficient in Excel, Bluebeam and Procore.

Ability to read and understand models, diagrams, schematics and blueprints.

Minimum of 5 years of on the job General Foreman experience supervising electricians.

Must have basic hand tools of the trade.

In-depth knowledge of National Electrical Code, construction procedures, equipment and OSHA guidelines.

Duties and responsibilities:

Communicate effectively with General Contractor and project owner representatives.

Coordinate tasks according to priorities and project plans.

Collaborate with Superintendent to ensure manpower and resources are adequate, including providing a 3 week advance projection for manpower.

Produce schedules and monitor attendance of employees.

Coordinate and assign daily work responsibilities of staff.

Verify all OSHA safety rules are followed and all quality standards are met.

Ensure timely scheduling of all material, tools and equipment needed for project.

Train and Monitor for quality installations.

Effectively problem solve when and issue arises.

Provide regular reports and updates to Project Managers and customer representatives.

In-depth knowledge of Procore and Bluebeam applications.

Monitor costs and ensure they remain in budget.

Perform other project related duties and assignments as directed.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.

The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

This job operates in a client project environment with exposure to employees, subcontractors and trades.

Ability to freely access all points of construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments.

Ability to comprehend forms in space and understand relationships of plane and solid objects. May be used in such tasks as blue print reading and in solving geometry problems. Frequently described as the ability to "visualize" objects of two and three dimensions, or to think visually of geometric forms.

Ability to manipulate materials and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.

Ability to move up or mount by using the hands or feet to include: 8' to 12' ladder, extension ladder and/or scaffolding, stairways- 3 or more flights.

To bend forward or down from the middle of the waist or the middle of the back, to bend, downwards, to lower oneself and/or to move freely on hands and knees between 20-50 times daily.

To perceive or comprehend by the sense of sight.

The ability to operate or convey in a vehicle, car, or commercial vehicle.
