As a civilian contractor working for QuarterLine, you will utilize your abilities as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to provide independent primary comprehensive and therapeutic health care services in the Mother Baby Unit, and the Special Care Nursery.

Type of Work: Full Time/Part-Time/PRN

Location: Fort Campbell, KY

Schedule:

Each shift is 24 hours, a minimum of 4 shifts per month is preferred

Housing/quarters provided at hospital facility during scheduled shifts

Job Description:

Provides independent primary comprehensive and therapeutic health care services, to include examining, assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients in the Mother Baby Unit (MBU) and the Special Care Nursery (SCN).

Attends all deliveries in Labor and Delivery.

Performs a systematic physical examination and interprets abnormal and normal findings.

Initiates emergency care as appropriate.

Discriminates between normal and abnormal findings in order to make a nursing diagnosis regarding physical, emotional, or social disabilities.

Reports abnormal findings to the Chief of the Department.

Develops a problem list if indicated, implementing a therapeutic plan for each problem.

Prescribes medications approved by the Therapeutics Agent Board.

Orders and/or performs pertinent diagnostic test; Analyzes the data collected to determine health status; Formulates a problem list; develops and implements with the individual family, a plan of care to promote, maintain and restore health; Evaluates the patients response to healthcare provided and the effectiveness of the care with the individual and his/her family and modifies the plan and intervention as needed.

Collaborates with other healthcare professionals in meeting individual healthcare needs.

Refers individuals and families to other healthcare professionals as appropriate.

NNP will be trained on performing circumcisions and once deemed proficient, clinical privileges will be requested

Qualifications:

Degree: Master's Degree in Nursing

Education: Graduate from an academic program, within the nursing specialty field of study that is accredited by a regional or national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

Certification: Certified in the specialty required by the TO as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or the recognized national nursing certification organization for the specialty area of practice - American Nurses Association, National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic and Neonatal Specialties.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.

Licensure: Full, active, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse.
