MCT Specialist (Transient Alert)

Job Duties:

Use international hand signals or hand signals from OPNAVINST 00-80T-13, marshal aircraft into assigned parking, account for obstacle obstruction and minimum wingtip clearances.

Familiarity with both fixed-wing and rotary-wing hand signals

Facilitate Prior Permission Required (PPR) requests, coordinate with Air Operations Officer and Airfield Manager and provide daily "Parking Plan" snapshot briefing.

Enter Prior Permission Required (PPR) information into database, and update parking plan as required.

Coordinate parking spots for transient aircraft with civil airport authorities or with local assigned flying units as per the PPR log and/or mission requirements.

Provide follow-me services to arriving / taxiing aircraft to assigned parking location.

Position, connect, and operate aircraft ground power units (GPU) and other related ground support equipment (GSE).

Chock aircraft wheels, position fire extinguisher, and stand fireguard during refueling operations.

Coordinate ground support services for transient aircrew (ie: maintenance stands, power carts, LOX tanks, etc.)

Email or hand-deliver flight plans to Djibouti-Ambouli air traffic control tower to ensure safe, continuous on-time departures.

Perform housekeeping, cleaning, and lavatory services of home station and transient aircraft.

Perform daily FOD (foreign object debris) inspections/removals.

Inspect and operate equipment including but not limited to sweeper trucks, lavatory service trucks, staircase trucks, ground power units, air conditioning units, and air start units.

Provide Airfield Vehicle Operator’s Course (AVOC) training and licensing.

Perform airfield escort services as required.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Certification/Education Requirements:

One-year technical course in aircraft maintenance or two year’s relevant experience with transient alert activities

One year’s experience of Airfield Operations.

One year’s experience operating ground support equipment (GSE).

One year’s experience of airfield driving.

Computer literate.

Good command of the English language.

Two years’ experience with international or military marshalling hand signals.

Possess a valid driver's license.

Security Clearance not required.
