Driver Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and responsible Driver Assistant to join our team. As a Driver Assistant, you will provide support to our driver and ensure the safe and efficient transportation of goods. Your main responsibilities will include loading and unloading cargo, Delivering furniture, appliances and installing them as well also assisting with navigation, and maintaining a clean and organized vehicle.

Responsibilities:

- Assist the driver in loading and unloading cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.

- Help with route planning and navigation, using maps or GPS devices to ensure timely and efficient delivery.

- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the vehicle, including regular cleaning and restocking of necessary supplies.

- Communicate effectively with the driver and other team members to ensure smooth operations.

- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.

- Handle paperwork, such as delivery receipts and logbooks, accurately and efficiently.

- Provide excellent customer service by being courteous and professional when interacting with clients

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

- Previous experience as a driver assistant or in a similar role is preferred.

- Good physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy items.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

- Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.

- Familiarity with navigation tools and GPS devices.

- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
