About You

As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you will play an integral role in designing, developing, and maintaining the backend systems that power our cutting-edge solution. You will specialize in data integration, distributed data processing and analytics, testing and deployment.

You love what you do, and are excited to be hands-on while leading and mentoring junior engineers. Our team values collaboration, and you’ll have opportunities to engage with your team in a respectful, casual, and diverse environment.

Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Designing and implementing services for large data volume integration.

Data Modeling for distributed systems and databases.

Designing and implementing a batch workflow process.

Performing data validation.

Creating unit and performance automated tests.

You likely have many of the following:

BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Knowledge of NoSQL databases, relational databases, multidimensional and OLAP databases.

Knowledge of microservice architecture, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Proficient in UNIX-based OS environment and command line /shell scripting.

Proficient in Scala programming.

Familiar with multithreaded and asynchronous programming.

Ability to work in an agile environment.

Ability to work in a team environment.

Ability to take on responsibilities and work with minimal supervision.

Ability to work on multiple projects.

Strong technical aptitude.

Retail experience is a plus.

Our US office is in Atlanta, but we are open to remote locations within the United States.
