Geriatrician

Position

We are seeking a Staff Specialist or Senior Staff Specialist -Geriatric Medicine to work within the Geriatric and Rehabilitation Services, Care for Older People and Rehabilitation. Provide specialist general medicine and geriatric medicine services as well as promote and lead the delivery of holistic health care for older people.

Hospital

This is Australia's second oldest hospital opening in 1804, and is a major clinical teaching and research centre working closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions. The hospital provides acute, sub acute, mental health and aged care inpatient and ambulatory services to a population of about 240,000 people and has 550 physical beds, including 460 acute overnight and 90 day beds.

Requirements

Fellow of The Royal College of Physicians (FRACP – Geriatrics)
