Clinical Study Research Assistant Job Responsibilities
Performs research administrative and clinical functions including scheduling patient visits, collecting information and assisting the research teams as needed.
1. Collects information, compiles data from multiple sources and enters data on source document forms
2. Schedules and confirms patient appointments, coordinating with team members’ schedules. Enters visit data into a database and manages the information
3. Takes vital signs, performs ECG and phlebotomy during clinic visits
4. Provides support for research study visits, such as preparing lab kits and required forms
5. Orders, stocks, monitors, and maintains adequate supply inventory levels as directed
6. Tactfully handles difficult situations with staff and patients while remaining positive and professional. When needed, escalates issues to the appropriate staff member
Minimum Requirements
1. Phlebotomy experience
2. Demonstrated interpersonal verbal and written communication skills including being proficient in spelling, punctuation, grammar, and other English language skills
3. Strong organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
1. CCRC or CCRP certification
2. 2 years of clinical research experience
3. Medical terminology experience
