About Us:

CBS Food Program is a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring children in our community have access to nutritious meals year-round. We operate essential Child Nutrition Programs, including the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), National School Lunch Program (NSLP), and Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). Our mission is to support children's health and well-being by providing both food and administrative assistance to unaffiliated centers and organizations.

Employment Type: Part-time (25 hours per week)

Job Responsibilities:

Monitor program schedules to ensure timely meal service and compliance with program regulations.

Review program reports for accuracy and completeness, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or issues.

Handle adjustments to the number of meals served, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.

Update PERAS (Program Electronic Reporting and Application System) site applications as needed to reflect program changes and updates.

Assist with the preparation and submission of program claims, ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement for meal service.

Provide administrative support to participating centers and organizations, addressing inquiries, providing assistance, and offering guidance on program-related matters.

Maintain accurate records of program activities, including participant information, meal counts, and program utilization.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of administrative and food-related support services.

Provide general administrative assistance to the Child Nutrition Programs team, including scheduling, correspondence, and data entry tasks.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Extension Education, Nutrition, Public Health, or a related field preferred.

Previous experience in administrative roles, preferably within the context of non-profit organizations or social services.

Familiarity with Child Nutrition Programs, including CACFP, NSLP, and SFSP, is highly desirable.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with database management software.
