Position Overview: As a Room Attendant, your primary responsibility is to ensure cleanliness and tidiness in guest rooms, providing a comfortable and welcoming environment for hotel guests. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and ensuring guest satisfaction during their stay. Attention to detail, efficiency, and excellent customer service skills are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Cleanliness and Maintenance:

Clean and maintain assigned guest rooms according to established standards, including changing bed linens, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing furniture.

Sanitize and clean bathrooms, ensuring all fixtures are clean, towels are fresh, and toiletries are replenished.

Maintain the overall cleanliness and appearance of corridors, elevators, and other public areas.

Report any maintenance issues or room repairs to the appropriate department.

Guest Service:

Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring their needs and requests are addressed promptly and courteously.

Respond to guest inquiries and provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.

Ensure guest privacy and security by properly handling guest room keys and respecting "Do Not Disturb" signs.

Communicate and coordinate with other hotel departments to meet guest expectations and resolve any issues.

Inventory and Supply Management:

Stock and maintain housekeeping carts with necessary supplies, such as linens, toiletries, and cleaning products.

Replenish guest room supplies, including towels, toiletries, coffee, and tea.

Maintain accurate records of rooms cleaned, supplies used, and any guest requests or complaints.

Safety and Compliance:

Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards to ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and fellow employees.

Follow proper cleaning techniques and use appropriate cleaning agents to maintain a hygienic and sanitary environment.

Comply with all health and safety regulations, including handling and disposal of hazardous materials.

Requirements:

Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred.

Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning agents.

Attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift/move heavy objects if required.

Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as per the hotel's needs.
