Talia Farms is located in Lyrup South Australia where we grow and produce table grapes for domestic and export markets.

We are expanding our operations and seeking a suitable candidate to work full-time as a Facility Supervisor in our packing shed.

About the role

Tasks and duties:

· Assessing product quality and determining the grade of produce

· Ensuring the produce quality is maintained throughout the various stages of the picking, trimming, and packing process

· Arranging staffing requirements, designing work schedules, and supervising packing shed tasks carried out by workers

· Training workers to carry out packing shed tasks

· Maintaining accurate quality assurance records including HARPS, Freshcare, SEDEX, HACCP and Export Protocol requirements

· Managing inventory of packing shed consumables in line with target stock levels

· Completing reports for daily pack-outs and managing labour and packing expenses to meet budget targets

· Ensuring batch coding and managing inventory management software systems

Requirements:

Ideal candidates for the above positions must possess the following qualifications and attributes:

A proven record of skills and knowledge in the agriculture/horticulture industry

Relevant qualification in Agriculture/Horticulture or related fields

Have at least two years of working experience in the Agriculture/Horticulture industry.

Excellent problem-solving skills

Sound communication skills. Fluency in Mandarin is advantageous.

Summary of role requirements:

Expected salary: $65,000 - $70,000 per year
